Such a lovely afternoon, I was sitting in the conservatory repotting my toms, when both sprogs arrived and announced that they wanted to do some gardening. Not one to turn down that sort of offer, we gathered a selection of pots and trays, got my seeds and decided what to do. Daughter number one now has a pot of carrots, a tray of peas, a tray of radish, a huge pot with 5 onion sets in and a pot of asters whilst number one son has carrots, peas, huge pot with 5 onion sets in and a selection of flowers including red poppies - red being his favourite colour!
Problem is, they took them all up to the greenhouse which was already bursting at the seams! I now have to remove trays from the floor to get into the greenhouse! Fortunately the onions and carrots have remained outside.
Good afternoon had by all and they are now soaking in the tub with lots of bubbles.
you gotta encourage them, of course!
sounds superb :)
Today they planted 3 varieites of sweetcorn, and 2 varieties of French bean. Watered their onions and carrots and are generally very enthusiastic. They are going to grow them in the little bed in their play garden squeezed in with the strawbs.
