I've never grown these before but am tempted because that look beautiful, and reminiscent of peonies, one of Mrs Beersmith's favourite flowers.
Does anyone have any experience or tips? Are they difficult or straightforward?
Any advice would be gratefully received.
Cheers
I grew them once, but they did not survive for a second showing.
They originate in South Africa, and prefer the weather conditions that are similar: full sun, moderate rainfall and good draining position. They should be left to recuperate after flowering and left in (that choice)spot If you are in the colder parts of the country, a little protection from extreme frost will help. It might be that you can arrange for them to be in a moveable container.
