I was trimming some tatty bits off my Kerrria today (pruned it after flowering previously) and noticed it has a lot of brown patches (rust?) on almost all the leaves and also dark brown patches on the stems. Is it on its way out? Any advice welcome.
Spooky! I was going to post the same question....I have three Kerria plants and they are all looking dreadful. I'm inclined to cut them right down to the ground, I mean I don't think anyone has ever managed to kill one...
Sounds like rust

Thanks, TeeGee- also found this on RHS;

Thanks TeeGee. Though my heart sinks a bit at the thought of trying to get out all the roots....I've never known a plant like it for surviving, suckering and spreading!
Update on the Kerrias....I thought I had lost them all, everything died right back, but I've just found dozens of new shoots emerging, I don't know whether to be pleased, because I hate plants dying, or disappointed because they are such invasive nuisances!
