I was speaking with another plot holder he gave me the name of a membrane /weed depressant Which is thick but still leaves the water though Can anyone tell me the name please
Yuzet is one, but there are a few brands.

I buy mine from ebay ;)
Be aware if you cut the weed fabric it will fray. I use an old solder iron to make the holes to plant though and to seal cut edges.
I usually buy mine through Amazon there are usually a few named sellers I usually buy the 100gsm and it does let the rain through hope that helps
as plot18 said that is a good brand i ordered some from ebay not that one another make its shinier than the yuzet which is said to confuse pests more as they dont know what way is up however could not tellyou the name i thought i was buying yuzet hope this helps
Hi Ya, I bought some weed membrane fron our local garden centre at what I thought was a good price but it wasn't Yuzet. It is rubbish and had has not lasted a season. It has torn and gone to ribbons and with out any thing on it. Is this Yuzet strong? I looked on line and some is quite wide so can you walk on it without it tearing? some of the widths look very useful. Will maybe give it a go and use up the cheap stuff elsewhere.
I have used it, uncovered, for some paths for the last 4 or 5 years - it is still doing ok :)
costco is pretty good. Mine has lasted for six years on paths between raised beds
I have used mine on the paths on the allotment for the last 4 years so they get heavy wear and I have no problems with it
Hi Ya, It seems that its a good buy from what I am reading. I will invest and use it more. You say That you use a soldering iron Plot 18 To seal it. Intriguing as to how you do it. I will have a look as we have no electric but I could use a blowlamp to heat up a screwdriver to seal it. Will give it more thought. Thanks all
To day the allotment holder told me it was terrain membrane he bought How does that compare to yuzet ?
Sorry mis spelt teram not terrain
I always fold the ends underneath instead of soldering it but must admit I may think of soldering the ends in the future
