There is an indication of some rain tomorrow evening. After a month of no rain, we need some. However I will not hold my breath.
However being dry does have benefits, not many slugs and not many weeds.
I have tried a rain dance in the past. But that seems to be ineffective short term and leads to flooding in the long term.
I've just been down the plot harvesting the last of the PSB and then removing the plants. The soil was bone dry down to 30cm.
In the areas not yet planted there was moisture about 10-15cm down. Definitely need rain here in East Mids but I don't expect anything significant in the near future. 20th to 28th looks most hopeful for some showers.
no rain for six weeks here on the sunshine coast none forecast until middle of next week :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:
We're desperate for rain here in Kent :( Much as I'm a sun-worshipper :glasses9: I'm getting fed up with carrying the watering can!
Light rain tonight here in not so sunny Enfield. Monday will probably be wet as it is Bank Holiday.
It rained here this evening ... but not proper rain ... only a few drops.
Nice little rainfall here last night. Not last long though but save me watering the seeds. :drunken_smilie:
Hardly anything here, surface just wet, dry below. Hopefully the plants will like the wet on their leaves. :BangHead:
Just come back from the plot. Last nights showers have only moistened the top 2mm, which will help the weed seeds germinate, but no good for anything else.
