Title: Ray of sunshine
Post by: Mrs Ava on March 30, 2005, 17:34:55
Funny how so many of the early flowers are yellow.  Daffs, primroses, kerria, mahonias to name the four that are doing the do in my garden at the mo.  Here are a couple.

It's wonderful isn't it!

I never used to like yellow flowers, but my garden seems full of them at the moment and they are lovely! I can't think of any non-yellow flowers that are out now.

I have about 150 daffs in flower, the forsythia, primroses, wallflowers (oh the wallflowers - look and smell devine!) They do shine out like rays of sunshine. Especially on gloomy days and early evenings when I get home. love them.

Can't wait for the marshmarigolds to flower. Are yours out EJ? I wonder if they are maybe too small to flower still?

The ones in the pond have flower buds, the ones in the swamp, I mean my garden are already in flower!

EJ - got down amongst the marginals on Saturday - my marsh marigolds have little brussel sprout-like buds under the leaves. can't wait to see them open!
