today i started a new flower bed around my patio at the allotment would have posted pics from the start
however my phone had no charge so will have to start posting pics from tomorrow its 4ft by 15ft long with a espalier apple or pear it all depends on whats in ken muirs bargin basement then posts fitted with trellis to take two evergreen jasmines one of which is variegated then planted with various perennials and stepping stones from the path to the patio then the idea is to extend the trellis around my 1000ltr water tank and plant my wisteria to cover said trellis should have it all done in a couple of weeks weather permitting
You'll have plenty of bees with the two jasmines!
Looking forward to seeing the new pics.

a little damp on the sunshine coast this morning however still managed to get the first piece of trellis up and my 2 yes ACE 2 jasmines in a variegated bay i think they will take a few years to grow to the extent of those in ace's pic but you never know :drunken_smilie: :drunken_smilie:
Once they get going it will screen from sight that patch of rough grass on the next plot.....looking good!
My greenhouse is behind this trellis

yes indeed the tg lets hope so the gent next to me has had a very hard year so he has not been to his plot i hope with a new year he can bring himself to enjoy his plot once more
just noticed tg ive put lucifer and redhot pokers and some dicentras in the border much the same as you
put some wires through the top of the posts today so i can run some of that jasmine around the patio
I would have chosen a Clematis montana myself
just a pic to show you how this years project is coming along its been 6 months since the last post
view from the other side
bees aplenty on the new flower bed in the seating area
The bed looks lovely. You will need to cut the jasmin back every year or it will take over everything. Mine has spread everywhere and taken over one of my flower gardens.
yes i hope it gets a good foot hold a charm of goldfinches were feeding on the cornflowers this morning when i got to the plot so its doing some good
this years project is coming along nicely full of hoverflies bees and butterflies
back at the start of the year i planted a lost label espalier wasnt sure what the apple was either a discovery or bramley well here is a pic of the fruit dont think its either i only let it have two fruits one i ate red skin stains the apple when a bit is taken very sweet so a4a which variety do you think it is
