Hello to all in the green fingered clan,
My names matt and I'm a young film-maker looking to a produce a short documentary based around allotment life. As a kid I remember going down the allotment with my grandad (probably causing more distruction than help!!) and that experience, the amazing atmosphere, the smell, the people and sense that this was real life has stuck with me to this day.
As a film-maker i'm intrigued by storytelling and passionate people so if you think your allotment has either or both please feel free to contact me as I'd love to find out more.
It could be anything really; Is your plot your one special place? are you a long standing plot holder who has seen your allotment undergo changes, that you are happy with or annoyed about? do you have any bizarre rituals? are you a long established allotment threatening closure? or is everyone on your allotment just plain MAD?!!
As I live in the South West (and have to survive on a students budget!!) I am forced to restrict this project to allotments in the South, so as long as your south of say, Birmingham then thats fine. (If your further north then feel free to contact me anyway, i just cannot promise anything, sorry)
Many thanks and happy gardening,
Matt Wicks

N.B. This is a personal project which I am persuing out of my pure enthusiasm for film-making and is NOT in conjunction with any broadcast channel.
Hi Matt we're a bit far north for you but good luck anyway. :)
