Anyone heard of or used a Saltpipe for breathing problems. :drunken_smilie:
No but ever eager to learn, consulting Google tells us its a gadget enabling one to draw breath through a salty tube. Seems its about £20 from Holland &Barrett.Interesting tale describing how it helps restore ones brochials. But does it work ? What we need is a guinea pig, a volounteer that is, not a furry pet.
Have had a cough for months so yes interested as well.
According to Doc there is nothing wrong with me. Had every possible check but I am still coughing. This looks worth a try, things were certainly better while I holidays by the sea,
Seems rather expensive though for a plastic pot filled with salt.
Have you tried amazon.
I'd never heard of them before reading your post and like ancellsfarmer did a google. Can't quite see why it would work, but a lot of positives recorded. Are you going to try it Cornykev, Digeroo?
Yes I have bought one, and it's a Ceramic pot with five years worth of salt in it
In fact I bought two
The Cisca saltpipe was £21.98, a Hungarian salt therapy inhaler with 5 years worth already in the pipe
The other was a Himalayan salt pipe inhaler £6.99
No postage When I bought them from Amazon
I've had a phlegmy cough for weeks and can't shake it
Also I'm hoping it can help some with my SNORING
I will report back in due course.
Yours faithfully Mr Ginny Pig

Corny, This is going back a bit, but didn't Ace do something with saline solution for a nasal/sinus problem? I only remember that a turkey baster was involved. :tongue3: This isn't salt in solution but could it work along the same lines?
Let's hope you (and your's) get relief soon.

This was the thread Corny, I think my overactive imagination made up the turkey baster bit - he did actually use a syringe, but might be worth considering, if it isn't too gross a concept.
