Title: Garlic variety Music. And what others do well in the wet North
Post by: Hector on March 13, 2016, 12:05:43
I really wanted the variety Music but only one place seems to have it ( sold out). It did really well for us three years ago...and I ate it all :(

Any ideas of where might have it...I've sent a long while looking....or what other good tasty/good storers do well in wet North

Thanks :)

Early purple wight does well for me here in Northumberland. Best of the varieties I've tried so far, solent wight, cristo, one I can't remember and elephant garlic (not counting the rose lautrec I tied last yeard that didn't even sprout)

I live in Nottinghamshire and I am currently growing Early Purple White, Vallelado, and Provence White all from last years crop. I have 300 odd currently growing and doing very well. I have tried hardneck varieties and spring planting varieties but with poor results so I stick to the 3 I am growing at the moment. I replace the stock completely every 4 years which is an expensive practice but I believe necessary.
