Title: Home bargains seed potatoes
Post by: Marlborough on January 29, 2016, 11:58:54
Just paid a visit to my local Home Bargains and noticed that they had seed potatoes for sale. They Carrie all the usual varieties, has anyone ever grown them. They also sell onion sets which looked OK.🌻

We picked up some Sharpes Express last year from Home Bargains as we had a small area to fill.  No problems with them and we would certainly buy from there again.

i dont think there s any difference between cheap certified pots and expensive certified pots its how you treat them afterwards is the key treat them right and no matter where you got them from they will produce 99 out 100 it the grower thats at fault not the seed

Only 79p for eight healthy looking seed potatoes, it can't be bad!🌿

I bought a few bags from B&Q. They were much less expensive than the ones I bought online.

I visited my local branch of Dobbies in Speke yesterday to buy onion sets. To be fare I always find these to be good quality. However, they where charging 25p! Yes 25p for one seed potatoe, despite  the extortionate price they where not the best quality. They had spindly white shoots and the majority soft and wrinkly.😊
