three bags of seed potatoes flung in the boot, take them out, two bags with labels dropped off. First earlies Swift and second earlies Foremost. I have replaced the labels an the assumption that the smaller variety with shoots on are Swift. What do you reckon? Either way even with advice I shall be still wondering if I am right. I might have to go back and get another variety of first earlies , well you can never have enough spuds.

Plant half of each as earlies, half of each as second earlies and you will guarantee to be half right both times. :icon_cheers:

You will eventually be able to identify the different varieties by checking the flowers against an internet search. They will still produce spuds however you plant them. :sunny:

Swift should only be seven  weeks till harvest a quite few weeks different from Foremost. Plus I have ground earmarked for planting and also to use for other crops when the spuds are dug up. Also I wanted a few swift in buckets in the greenhouse.

The Swift seed that I have are "cube" (or cuboid, to be fancy!), rather than "cylindrical" and long like the Charlotte.
