Went to the allotment this morning as it was sunny for a change on my day off. Had a lovely few hours in the sunshine doing a bit of weeding and tidying up, and as I left noticed the front fence panel had come adrift. Spent a few minutes struggling to get the blooming thing back in place, when the top rail suddenly snapped as I was pulling it upward, thereby smashing myself really hard in the mouth! I actually feared for my teeth as it really hurt, but I now have an inadvertent ' trout pout' as my bottom lip swelled......OH was sympathetic......"did you win"? :boxing: :boxing:
yes indeed this morning i went as i do every day to the plot within half an hour the rain started and boy it was cold so i retreated much to my neighbours disgust what no coffee he shouted (as i am the silverlady of the site ) sorry i shouted as fled to the car ill be back tomorrow for another try
OUCH!! Poor you, Deb- hope you get some sympathy!
At least you didn't need surgery b e c a u s e of the trout pout. Hope it is better very soon, not a nice thing to happen. And yes, lots of sympathy and pampering is definitely the order of the day. Would really yummy ice cream help with the swelling?
Ice cream would be lovely, but son has used it all up making liquidised fruity drinks with his new plaything; a 'nutri-ninja' he got for Christmas, sigh. I will just have to go old style with paracetamol and a glass of red wine............ :toothy5:
Whats the verdict Deb, cheaper than botox? but...
I hope it goes down soon.....I'll be a laughing stock at work tomorrow! Who needs botox, just a lump of wood and brute force! I clearly don't know my own strength.....

But are you fit for work? maybe you need time to recover, delayed shock :glasses9:
The advert I see at the top of the page is for new dentures!! so glad it didn't get to that.
Big sympathies Deb , did similar with a big sheet of ply, Top lip couldn't drink hot tea for a week.
How are you doing Hotlips, if you need a cure, put a bottle of gin in the fridge for a couple of hours, drink gin then rub your lips with the cold bottle.
Deb.
Did you really get your teeth into the fence repair job,or just pay it lip service?
I hope you are OK.
Bryan.
i hope you feel better now debs but at least you had a laugh all be it at your own expense but has it put you off botox or did you like the look
No piccies then Deb, all the best, I'm not laughing honestly. :drunken_smilie:
No pictures!!! That is not a look I want to be reminded of.......I can laugh now, but at the time it was really not very funny....
