Looks like winter is going to finally arrive next week. Forecast down to 0 on Saturday and then -1 on Monday.
I will have to pick the last of my raspberries!!!
Good- we need some frost to kill off those bugs!
I'll be in Cornwall for my mother's funeral, but I've covered my potato pots with black plastic, which should kep an ordinary frost away from the tubers at the bottom.

Have you had the rain like we have Digeroo? I find that when there is a lot of rain the raspberry taste gets less.
Yep that's exactly what our forecast said too, Digeroo. So where then did the -3.7C come from last night? :BangHead: Winter certainly has arrived with a bang. Very unusual to have such cold temperatures when it is still quite windy. Wonder how cold it got at your place last night, as you are also in a bit of a cold spot?

Condolences Robert!
Had a fine dusting of snow yesterday(Sat) and the lawn was covered in frost when I went to bed last night, so had a lie in this morning! :coffee2:
No sign of frost at home but at the lottie there was ice on the top of water. I forgot I had a nice pepper meant to bring it home but forgot about it. Now it is too late. Did not heed my own reminder.
