Title: My little helper
Post by: Jesse on March 23, 2005, 20:27:42
My little helper decided to sow some seeds into pots today all by herself. One whole packet of radish seeds into one pot, half a packet of french beans into another pot and the rest of the seeds (fortunately most still in their packets) scattered over the floor whilst she was deciding what to grow! So I spent this evening sifting out the bean seeds and putting them back in the packet, fortunately she hadn't got around to watering the pot yet so they're still nice and dry. The pot of radish seeds (already watered) I have thrown outside onto a bare patch in the flowerbed, hopefully they will germinate and I'll be getting a huge glut of radishes in the next few weeks.

Lesson number 1: when your 3 year old helps you sow some seeds, make sure you lock them away afterwards incase she decides to grow some more later whilst you are preparing the dinner.

Lesson number 2 - sowing seeds in the rug won't yield a crop!

Keen little gardener you got there! She obviously enjoyed what she's sown with you!
