Looks like cracks that developed when we had the recent 'day of deluge' then perhaps something took advantage of easy access.
What was the variety?
great dahlias deb i picked a load yesterday as today has been a wash out and they would of all split :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:
Maskotka was the original variety, I've grown them at the lottie for the past six years and kept the seeds as they make compact plants which get blight quite late if at all. Quite large salad type fruits that are very tasty too!
I am now in full tomato glut mode. I have a few black krim ripened and the roma types are just starting to flow. The Red Alerts in the poly are just about done but the outdoor ones are going nuts now. Throw in a few harbinger and sungold and I have way more than I can eat so passata time!
Don't know why these photos didn't come up properly, sorry!
