Title: Old Raspberry Canes
Post by: Jesse on March 23, 2005, 14:34:10
I've use the old dead wood from last years raspberry canes as sticks to grow my peas up.

I've got mine still stuck in the soil - cut them off, left to dry then stuck them back in a few weeks later to mark where the emerging new shoots are so I don't put my plates of meat on top of them...

I use all long bits of woody prunings like this.

Short bits I poke or scatter on newly dug or sown soil to keep the cats off.
