we are in the process of reinstating our site shop its not be open for about 20 years just wondered if anyone knows any suppliers of stuff like Bordeaux mixture grow more canes and the like plus any tips that you could share would be greatly appreciated :angel11:
Don' know of any in your area but I am sure you could work a deal with one or more of your local seed merchants/Garden Centres!
As you probably know most of the seed merchants such as T& M, Suttons, Leisure Gardens all give reasonable discounts on seeds so I would guess there will be similar deals on composts & fertilisers to be had in these so called trying times.
I know we can get them up here in the wild and wooly north ;)
One that you could start with is LBS horticultural suppliers. Sign up/call them, get them to send you (or who ever is going to be responsible for orders) their trade catalogue. They do nationwide deliveries, might not be the cheapest company around, but at least you have something to start with to compare product and prices.
http://www.lbsbuyersguide.co.uk/..we buy some stuff from them..
...another company that is local for us here in Nottinghamshire is http://www.gro-welldirect.co.uk/ , which is our main supplier.
I haven't looked into it but I suspect you are too far for their delivery area.
Edit to add....I've had quick look around.., this company does really good composts, we've had humax brand and you can follow the link to their distributors in your area, unless you want to talk to area rep...maybe distributor list will bring up horticultural supplier on your area that do wide range of 'stuff' to sell in your shop? http://www.everris.com/uk/Home/Ornamental-Horticulture/SalesTeam

Make contact with "BHGS / JFC Monro " Supply Midlands , Chichester , Hale .
I use growell and find them very accommodating.
We have access through a park and up a track which is too soft when rains. They are always flexible and will postpone a delivery till we feel that the ground is suitable. Otherwise we would have to drop the stuff at the roadside and barrow it quite a way, something I do not want! Just a little thing but makes a difference.
sounds good got a meeting next week so all ideas will be put forward thanks for all your help :angel11:
I use LBS because of their huge range. Those things that I need in qty work out reasonably discounted, other things are bought at the same time "for convenient" (and to share carriage cost). Their website is dire; it rarely lists the size of anything in enough detail to know what you are getting and I don't buy numerous things from them because I would have to write and ask for clarification of the product. If you always buy XYZ I expect that would not be a problem.
I have also bought from JFC Monro and had excellent service from them. They are a long way away so I have to be buying a whole pallet load for it to be cost effective.
