Title: New concrete boots to fill
Post by: kenkew on March 22, 2005, 08:54:52
Almost done with making some more concrete boot planters. Should be ready for painting like these next week. What's the best small flowery plants to put in 'em?

...Pic removed...too big. Must sort this out, sorry.

A pair of phlox, and they smell nice too!

Herbs would look nice - such as a thyme, some chives, small leaved basil (if you're somewhere warm that is)

I like the dwarf nastirtium (Alaska) with the lovely marbled foliage.  They are very small and tidy. Also pot marigold (the old fashioned variety).  Bizzie lizzie is another small one which would look good

The world's yer oyster  :)
