Title: Help! Blue and gold flowers for a may wedding
Post by: gwynleg on January 11, 2015, 20:11:03
My friend is getting married in mid may and has asked me to provide the table flowers in blue and gold. She would prefer something in small pots so that the guests can take them away with them and carry on growing at home.

Now my friend knows I am reasonably successful with vegetables and presumes I will be ok with flowers but this is wrong!!

What (blue and gold) flowers would be ready in mid may and would be suitable for small pots on the wedding tables please? (Thanks any help gratefully received)

My choice would be Pots of Polyanthus or Auricula

Violas come in a blue/ purple or you can get blue and gold ones or just gold ones easy to grow very good at flowering cheap to buy , work well in pots.
hope that helps, they are small and look good in round pots.

Could you do combi pots of blue and gold nasturtiums? They would be a single colour per plant, but they'd trail nicely.
