This is some of the material waiting to be shredded and then used as bedding for the hens before going on the compost heap.

Being a lazy so and so, I think I would have set fire to it, in a controlled way of cause, but you are a devil for punishment. ;D

Crikey Eric, that's a heck of a lot of progress in a couple of weeks!! How much ground have you got in total? I've seen other shots of your garden and it must be very large!

Well done!!

The garden is just under an acre, and the Daisy lawn is about 15 metres by 20 metres, sort of, odd shape and got a piece of concrete in the middle with the Gazebo on it.
Could not just burn it off as it is also full of Alliums, Frits, and other bulbs just starting up.

My goodness Eric what a transformation.  You mentioned in the chat room that you had done it all by hand with a pair of secateurs.........Do you need a Sling  ;)  ;)  ;)

It is not "new " space. The area is stuffed to the gills with all kinds of tall grasses and plants with daisy like flowers, Rudbeckia, Coreopsis, Heleniums,Helianthus, etc. Given a couple of months it will look much the same as it did before I cut it down, except that (hopefully) everything will be green not straw coloured.
