Can anyone tell me which variety my second photo is - it is very unusual :-\
Pat
Check out Queen Annes Daffodil!
Great photo's, brings a smile to you face. Gardengirl, the 2nd daff is gorgeous. Where can you buy it , any ideas ? ( my wife's name is Anne, my queen)
Thanks for the name Eric - can't find it in any of my books at the moment but will keep searching.
DD I bought the bulbs a couple of years ago at a local garden centre. They are a miniature variety which I prefer as they do not get knocked over by the wind. Can't be more specific than that I am afraid.
Pat
My contribution, don't know what variety. Taken over at the lottie today.
www.srgc.org.uk/ bulblog. Try this for a picture!
I would really miss the daffs if I did not live in england at this time of year!

.
Now that is interesting, I did not think it was Rip Van Winkle as the ones we threw away as being ugly were far more orange than the picture above. So, I Googled it and one set of pics is orange as I remembered it but the others are as yellow as Garden Girl's photo.
.
Many thanks greenwizard for the image. Will purchase some asap as a suprise for my wife.
lovely pictures everyone i just love daffs
these pics are lovelly
i will try to take a pic of a roundabout near me - its amazing most of the year its green grass but spring its bright yellow
Looking at GW's photo of Queen Annes, I don't think mine is that variety as the petals are spikey. Maybe it is RVW.
Pat
Looked at some RVW today in Bridgemere G/C and they have green in the double part, so perhaps you are correct in their id. Sorry to have mislead!
Please don't apologise Eric. I am always grateful for your help in identifying plants and you are usually correct :)
Pat
Dirk,
Most of my daffs are like yours, a very light colour. I just adore them as they mean spring has finally sprung. Some of my other plants have germinated today so I am double happy !
;D
