Title: can i save this weed matting
Post by: astraman1 on September 12, 2014, 14:25:00
while transforming my field of an allotment i have uncovered some really good weed matting

the last owner only used 1 m square of it for growing strawberries so the rest is covered in couch grass nettles and the like

while digging some of the grass out i uncovered some weed matting which has grass growing through it there are some really fine roots growing out the underside which were in the mud

is it possible to save this or should i just throw it away

I would lift it and roll it up and if it aint that thick when I used it I would double it up

Lift it and spread it out in the sun. The weeds will soon give up and die without water and they will be easy to get off.
