We've been up the allotment this morning and I've planted some late turnips & swede, I know there are planters for small seeds but are they any good???
If they are, with one is best??
I think they are all a much of a muchness!
I rarely sow insitu on the plot but when I do I just use the packet as my equipment and tap with my index finger.
With fine seed I sometimes add a teaspoon of silver sand in the packet and this allows you to see how thinly you are sowing.
In the greenhouse I sometimes use the type with the transparent lid with notches in it that vary in size to suit the size of seeds being sown.
If the seeds are large enough I usually use tweezers!
