What a great year it is for fruit, had a terrific crop of goose berries and now starting on the black berries

Wow!  My blackberries are still in flower down here in Wiltshire and my gooseberries aren't ripe either, though I have got them under netting this year so won't lose them all to the birds.

They look great, there are loads of blackberries in flower around here but the fruits are still green, it will not be long.  Tonights rain will hopefully fatten them up nicely.  Though I think that blackberries have very long roots, they never seem to wilt even in the driest summer.
