Title: Silly question, but
Post by: Palustris on October 20, 2003, 21:36:54
If I send you an Email with a picture attached for publication, what size image do you prefer, or does it not matter? Most of my stuff is 1600 by 1200 pixels. They take a long time to send cos we aint got Broadband yet, if ever.

why should that be 'silly'?

I have a problem in posting pics without their 'background' - and I've asked for help on that.

And, surely, 'pixels' is definition, rather than size?? - Tim

Can you believe this, I'm going to try to give advice about something to do with computers hahaha.

My pictures took up a lot of space too so I converted them first to JPEG with the use of a program called ACDSee so they use up a lot less space which makes sending them so much faster. -Ina

All my computer saved pics are in JPEG form. They come off the camera or scanner in that format.
Pixels are both a measure of size and of definition, depends on the circumstances.

I tend to reduce the files to around 500x400 ish pixels, which should enable them to load in around 15 seconds on a normal modem link.

Cheers
