When we came back from our holiday I found the sweet peas that had had bud drop were now in full bloom and the strawberries and peas were waiting to be picked .

Nice haul. It's lovely to go away, but boy! is it good to come home to that. :sunny:
What luscious pictures! They belong in a gardening book! Only thing missing is the fragrance over here.
Those sweet peas are absolutely beautiful!! I have managed to grow a few this year but the flowers are very small. Still, the bees love them and thy do smell sweet as you work. Not big enough to cut like those though! Well done.
I have just come back from plot having cut about 50 stems of sweet peas hoping to enter a local show tomorrow, the flowers are full of pollen beetle so have left them I the car with a window just open so that the beetles can fly our during the night. Will post results good or bad.
Your sweet peas are lovely, I have a few but not as good as yours, but I do love the flowers and the smell.
I know these are not edible but they do follow the previous notes. Managed to win 4 firsts, the Sweet pea cup, medal and certificate. The first time I won the cup was 40 years ago. :icon_cheers:

Well deserved, congratulations, you must be so pleased.
Congratulations! They are exquisite :happy7:
The aromas in the sweet pea contest must have been awesome for the judges. And that is so neat that you won! It looks like you definitely deserved to win, too.
They look so beautiful, just perfect - congratulations :sunny:
