I follow a lot of blogs, but not many of them are gardening-related. Any of you lovely people have blogs I can add to my reader, or want to share other good ones?
This is my blog
http://www.thegardenersalmanac.co.uk/Indexes/Gallery.htm (http://www.thegardenersalmanac.co.uk/Indexes/Gallery.htm)
I only add to it when I get something of particular interest rather than a week by week report so I guess it is not your typical blog, but you are welcome to have a look...tg
Thanks, I'll have a look!
I'm not a weekly blogger either, I tend to just write when I feel like it. ;)
Ooh, you're in Sheffield? I'm practically your neighbour, in Chesterfield!
QuoteOoh, you're in Sheffield? I'm practically your neighbour, in Chesterfield!
Huddersfield actually just another 25 miles or so further north.
Having said that; one of my blogs is of
Sheffield Botanic Gardens
My primary blog is Flighty's plot - http://flightplot.wordpress.com/ - which is mostly about my allotment. I've had both nearly seven years, and usually do posts every Thursday and Sunday. Look at the list of fellow lawn loungers over on the right-hand side on it for other gardening blogs.

Ah, that's where I've got confused - I thought I read you were only a few miles away from the Botanical Gardens. I've got mixed up! Happens a lot. ;)

You are definably my neighbour I'm at Brockwell!!
Tee Gee- are you going to the Garden Up Event at Botanics?? Chesterfield Alpine Society are having a stall and I will be there in the mornings each day.
Yes I do have a blog called philsallotment(goole) Soon as I had my allotment at the back of where I live I took an allotment and made it look like an allotment. Before it was a total wilderness of overgrown bramble, twitch and oh Gosh the dreaded mares tail. Mares tail is a jurasic weed that runs deep into the ground 5-6 meters. all we do is try and keep it clear for the spring and summer. I will try and update it the first chance I get. I am a few years out on the bog update cause my hubby is very poorly but I will catchup.
I used to do an almost daily blog on a SAGA site but they closed the whole website so now I just update about monthly on lauriemansersgardenhints.blogspot.com.
While not quite the same as a blog, for the last month, I have been running Facebook and Twitter feeds for my website, www.growyourown.info
If you go to the site, you will now see the Facebook and Twitter logos at the bottom of the page. If you already have a Facebook account, you should be able to follow "Grow Your Own", by clicking on the Facebook logo.
Even if you do not have a Facebook account or a Twitter account, by clicking on the Twitter birdie, you should be able to see the "Grow Your Own" Twitter tweets. If you have any problems getting access, please let me know and I will see if I can sort out the problem.
The Facebook and Twitter feeds are very similar, covering the same material, but the Twitter tweets are more compact.
Subjects that will be covered include Up-to-the minute news, views, events and interesting tit-bits relating to growing your own fruit, vegetables, and herbs, as well as recipes and healthy eating.
Some of the subjects already covered are:- snails and how far they can travel back to where they were, how snails were depicted fighting Knights in armour in the Middle Ages, Rhubarb Yorkshire pudding, growing of OCA, growing of grapes in a cool greenhouse, semi-automatic watering of tomatoes, Biochar experiment, different salad crops,etc.,etc.
Brilliant, now I have loads of new blogs to keep me busy! Thanks very much everyone. :)

No I don't think so the last time I went to the BG I got an £ 80 fine reduced to £30 for early payment for entering a bus lane. :sad10:
Thing is I didn't think about 'Bus Lanes' as 'Tram lanes' were more on my mind.
I was too busy looking for signs to the BG which were in short supply among the 'tramway sign'
I mentioned this to the local Councillor how all the tram furniture can make it confusing for a tourist ( which I guess I was)
He brushed it off by stating that Sheffield was no worse for driving in than any other UK City.
This angered me a bit in so far as; No other UK city has 'Trams' ( apart from Edinburgh I now believe)but I didn't bother and just paid the fine and enclosed a note saying I wouldn't be back to Sheffield.
So I hope you have an enjoyable time!
I'm sure Nottingham has trams, but that doesn't negate your point TG!
