Title: black beatle in the broad beans
Post by: busy_lizzie on May 13, 2014, 18:14:51
Hi, I have found a black beatle in some broad beans, and it has quite desimated the leaves, and left a white shadow on them. Is it the Bean Weevil? What is the best way to deal with them and stop them investing the rest of the crops. Thanks if you can help. busy_lizzie

Just to clarify: it's not the same as the little black things that you get at the top few leaves of broad beans where you can, by this time of year, just remove the problem by removing the said top few leaves, is it?

Mine too have Weevil and from what I read they do survive and there is not a great deal to be done
