No, but I've been meaning to try with some bits of fleece, I believe it makes a good mulch.

Well....I've got piles and piles of raw fleece used as mulch all over the place this year....and I can say that it don't seem to deter any slugs...but they will very happily keep shelter underneath..

...and why do I know that?...

...because just other day I notice that one of my wool piles under fruit bushes looked bit too good for being used as mulch...I went to investigate and yes....I had been hasty and got my sorting mixed..best stuff was lying there getting dirty .. :BangHead:
Pulled it all out...picked out slugs and snails and rescued the wool that is now washed and lovely, ready for spinning.. :icon_cheers:

wool pellets didn`t  work and slug nematodes doesn`t fully work either. Slug pubs don`t work. I use nematodes now but still have to sprinkle a few blue pellets, to get rid of snails as well as remaining slugs

Oh dear! I have been throwing the waste water from fleece washing onto my hostas and was hoping for whole hosta leaves this year.
GL- I won't ask how you managed to throw the good wool- did you spin the grotty wool?!

The 'waste' water is excellent stuff and that has not issue with slugs.. :icon_thumleft:
As for 'managing to throw the good stuff'...well..imagine this.. you are dealing with last few fleeces of the big hoard> rushing to get picking and sorting done> when you are nearly done, somebody shouts "TEA!"> I then decided to be ruthless and only save the best stuff (quite a lot of wool stores already)> rushing even more so the tea don't go cold....quick tidy up and job done :icon_cheers:
...or not  :BangHead: I simply rushed too much and was too efficient with my tidy up...
...all grotty and good stuff were cleared under fruit bushes in one big sweep.   :drunken_smilie: Once all the 'waste' got rained on..and most of the muck washed away..I had some lovely looking white wool glowing under bushes.. :BangHead:
