It's Sunday and I had a lie in until 10 this morning.  Come to think of it I have a lie in most mornings unless I have an appointment to go to!

When I was younger I used to be up at 6am in the summer to get out in the garden.  When working, I often started my shift at 7am and had a half hour drive beforehand.   Now that I am retired I just take things easy!  :icon_thumright:

I did this morning because I had to get up nd go to work!!!  :toothy10:
Yesterday no lie in either, Oh and son were in a fun run, 10km soI was the driver and picker-up but as there was also the marathon, it was a bit of a hassle.  They did very well, both ran it in under an hour and it was my son's first race!
But it was rotten weather, cold and rainy, and no work got done on the plot this weekend due to the bad weather. Next week must catch up as I have to start the beans and start planting out the tomatoes and courgettes.

It was May Morning in Oxford - so I was up at 5 to get the family out of the house to hear the choir sing from the top of Magdalene tower at 6!

Lots of excellent music and morris dancing - it's always surreal to find the town centre pubs packed with people at dawn - then back home to get the kids off to school.

I should pop down to the allotment to do some weeding - but I feel like my body now wants to go back to bed

Good Morning everyone

I've been awake since about 1.30am but it was Graham's barking
that finally made me get up at 3.  I thought he might want to go outside
but no, he went back to his bed and I'm staying up.

Checked the girls and gave them some warm water and few mealworms  :glasses9: Amber is back in bed...our 'chav dog' thinks it is still too early for her!......unless I mention the magic 'W' word, I would not have a chance to grab a lead when she is ready to go...

Has it gone cold yet..?

I slept like baby!....though I admit...like a naughty girl I forgot to take my medicine last night...fell on sleep and OH enquired this morning on his way to work..'why is all lights and telly on (no sound though)...and I had book resting on my chest too and glasses on!'
..whoopsie...all that fresh air yesterday did its deed..

Talking to someone at the Plant Sale today I mentioned that Graham had woken
me up at 3am this morning.  She didn't know Graham is my dog and thought it was
my husband.  She asked me if he was worried about something - if only I had been
quick-thinking enough to say that no, he wasn't worried, he just wanted to have a
wee in the garden and lick my face.   :toothy10:

"only the lonely..."

Nobody else is around and it is already 'late'?! Have you all gone to your holidays or something?
I can see that Silverleaf has been and gone ..
I could go to bed..BUT...I have another 'bloke' here that is used to 'clock work' life and things have to be done just in right time.
Just like Squash's Graham he needs to be taken to wee, breakfast served by 6am with half a slice of buttered toast..and yes, NOW he is snoring his non-existing little ***s off.
I'm dog sitting this week for another one we are having FUN  :toothy10:...it is the 'time table' that dog is used to that I don't like..we are used to more of 'all in good time' way of life..or 'if it is not necessary, why to stress about it' approach. :icon_cheers:

Anyhow...while it is raining here and there is nothing more urgent to do, I carry on my lonely existence over here and catch up with all the posts....while having my  :coffee2:

Well my sleep cycle is all over the place so I'm quite likely to be on here at very odd times. ;)
