Title: Perennial Kale from HSL
Post by: Digeroo on April 15, 2014, 08:12:31
All the plants except two are covered with flower heads.  I have picked them and going to eat them for breakfast.

I was getting excited about the other two with no flowers, slightly different leaves.  But no they are flowering as well and have actually turned out to be caulis instead.  Excellent  :icon_cheers: I do not normally managed to get them to survive the winter.

Happy accident.. :icon_cheers: Did the seeds for those caulis came from HSL packet..mixed in or was it you?

I've just started to 'play' with my Anatolian tree cabbage. I had one plant that didn't flower for two years...and I was going to take cuttings from it.....and then I was in mood for 'spring clean'..and chucked it away ... :BangHead: Yesterday I looked through some of the others I had...even though they were in full bloom, I found some side shoots that didn't have any flower heads on (yet?) and I've potted those up for new plants..it would be nice if they will produce this year instead of start flowering. I just cannot be asked sowing everything from seeds. If they do, I will carry on, as a new 'regime' for myself,  making new plants this way.. :icon_cheers:
