Title: Is this what Outdoor Girl tomato plants look like?
Post by: Squash64 on April 02, 2014, 15:31:43
(//)

I'm growing Outdoor Girl tomatoes, from seeds which were given to me.
They look as though they are 'potato leafed' - the one on the left in the
photo, the one on the right is Shirley.  Problem is, none of the descriptions
I've seen for them mention the leaves and I am beginning to wonder
if the seeds were mixed up.

Has anyone grown Outdoor Girl, and is this what they should look like?

That's good Gavin, thanks.

What did you think of their taste? I'm growing them to (hopefully) sell for charity
and I like to be able to tell people what they are like.

I agree with Gavin, they are potato leaved.

Sorry meant to add, it's a while since I've grown them but at http://t.tatianastomatobase.com/wiki/Outdoor_Girl she says they are similar to Matina, Stupice and Kimberly if that is any help.

Edit to add, Matina is thought to be the same as Tamina

Selling for charity - oh dear.... I wasn't pleased with them at all. They were very floury and not much taste. But maybe my soil conditions and others may like them.

It's a good thing I'm growing 14 other varieties then!
Thanks for your input Gavin,
