Title: DT Browns
Post by: steve1967 on March 02, 2014, 15:48:21
I received a spring catalouge from them yesterday. Noticed that they are charging delivery for orders up to £35. They always had free delivery on seed orders.

What a shame. Part of the reason I regulary used them. I noticed a post earlier this year that they had been taken over by one of the big boys!!!

Has anyone else noticed this?

On their website seed orders are still free .   Though their alter ego Fothergills have started to charge this year.

Tbh I decided to get some from ebay yet again. Cheaper by far and always good germination. Got some tom seeds from DT this year and there were only 16 when pack said 20 so watch for short numbers

Premier Seeds Direct sells on ebay and Amazon, and the seeds I bought last year did excellently, especially the watercress. Low prices and delivery costs, generous quantities of seeds, good germination. Our allotment group does half price orders from T&M but I'm not joining in this year, preferring the variety and low costs of the internet sales.

I ordered some from DT today, free postage and also made a small order with PSD, excellent seller btw as are nutsncones and collin on ebay. DT have come up rumps re cs and are replacing the tom seeds, no question and no moans.

I am pleased to hear that about Premier seeds, I was thinking of using them to get some squash seeds, I noticed they sell Qld Blue and Crown prince.

Strawberry 1 WHATEVER YOU DO DONT BUY FROM FIVESHOP_UK I made the mistake of putting in 2 orders and then found out they are run from china.I read through about 10 pages of comments and 90% think its a scam as none of their orders arrived.Mine were "lost" by china post.
We all thought we were dealing with a UK address not in china.
