Suddenly overcome by 'pop ups' and all sorts of rubbish. Installed 'malwarebytes' and 'Adaware' and had a good clear out.
Now my Firefox page won't search as it's been hijacked by Lavasoft!! If I've uninstalled it, how is it doing it?

Check the plugins or extensions in Firefox.There may be something there doing it...

Had a poke around in the left top corner & used the Help function.
All's now well.

We are having the same issues. Settings are medium to high and pop blocker is active too.
