Is Government about to change law regarding allotments. If this article is true it would be a national disaster.

Not good, we need to demand the repeal of the enclosure acts and get the land that was stolen returned.
This was in 2011. My understanding is that the government had to back track due to the out cry.
The article is from 2011 though....

Not dredging...... Oh we are dredging starting next month.....
aj I think that you've put this on the wrong thread!
It does look like this is back on the agenda again. If it is then it's bad news for everyone who has an allotment.
Just had this email
Tell Eric Pickles that allotments must not be sold off
Please sign this petition if you care about the future of allotments.
Ours could be at risk if we ignore this.

Lets get angry! Perfectly timed to enable you all to make a difference in the forthcoming European parliament elections (may 22nd) Suggest to all candidates that they could rely on your support IF they guarantee to achieve the provision of sufficient plots to accomodate all European citizens who may wish to cultivate one > Why not get a Europe wide scheme to allow free transfer to any part of the continent on a like for like basis, reviewed annually
Enable any Eurogrower to grow any variety Heirloom, non genetically modded , vegetable within these new Europlots, with exemption from all taxation , regulation and exploitation.
Permit , nay, require that every new Eurocitizen is placed on the provision list at Birth
Vote for Euveg , your countryside needs you ...!
Sorry, you've lost me bit. The article makes no mention of voting.......something must have flown over my head. :confused3:
