Yes I know you can eat tatties but as we have this new lottie I popped down today and dug up some pots that had been left. Some are squidgy but most are good and firm I have cut into a few and they seem ok ... Have a reddish brown skin and quite hard to cut but once inside they are very white.
we have about 3 rows that have been left to dig up so as you lot are proffessionals at this my question is are they ok to eat ?
I would say, so long as they aren't green or gooey, enjoy!
Ok the dirty deed has been done using the deep fat fryer ;D
We have one plate of chips :P
They came out well and quite fluffy inside and didn't go too brown in my fryer but I think that was because the are very white to start with but they taste good ;)
I'm green with envy! Deep-fried bramble roots just don't have the same flavour and "tang".
Enjoy!
All best - Gavin
