Title: Warning - Paypal scam
Post by: bluecar on February 10, 2014, 12:06:36
Hello all.

I received an email earlier today informing me that my paypal account status needed updating. I followed the link and logged on, but then alarm bells began to ring as they wanted me to update my account details.

I contacted paypal by phone and they confirmed it was an attempt to capture my password and payment details. They told me to log-in normally to paypal and change my password. They also told me that all paypal emails address you as <first name> <surname>. This began Dear customer!

Just thought I'd pass this information on in case you receive a similar email.

Regards

Bluecar
