Title: Paper Whites
Post by: star on November 27, 2013, 11:28:39
I got some Paper white daffs a few weeks ago, but didnt realise they were treated ones for indoor flowering. :drunken_smilie:
Can these be grown outside next year or are they not hardy? They have flowered now indoors....I think my kitchen is too hot, they are almost 3 foot tall  :laughing6: :laughing6: :laughing7:

I think you'll find that paper white daffs are for indoors only and are not hardy enough for outdoors, unless they have grown one for outdoors in recent years.

Any of the daffodil or narcissi family can be grown outside. If they have been forced they may need 12 months to recover but never dump narcissi. I have 160 varieties partly because I do not want to get rid of varieties I no longer show.
