An interesting read, with inspiring photos! I see you plant your broad bean seeds in loo rolls - do you find this improves the results?

The mice always eat the seeds at my allotment when I plant them directly into the ground, so I get nearly 100% germination by planting them in pots first and planting them out later.  (The toilet rolls just save buying pots).
