Title: BBC1 Programme
Post by: Caught Red Handed on November 06, 2013, 15:40:31
The BBC 1 Series Caught Red Handed is really interested in featuring a victim of allotment theft.

The series highlights the many ways in which police, councils, businesses and members of the public are keeping one step ahead of criminals through the use of things like CCTV, surveillance and sting operations.

I am very eager to discuss the possibility of including any incidents where CCTV has helped foil a crime or helped catch a criminal.

Do you know of or have any CCTV footage of criminals or wrong doers carrying out a crime on an allotment that we can feature in the series?

I can be contacted at post@topical.co.uk

Various things disappear from my plot, particularly cabbages.  And whoever does it does not even bother to put the netting back on.  I would very much like some CCTV footage, but not sure the cabbages are worth the cost of camera which might be stolen itself.

Maybe you could lend out some kit?

Hi Diggeroo,

Sorry to hear about your cabbages. Sadly I don't think I can lend you a camera but if you hear of anyone who has cctv video images of things going missing on an allotment, please don't hesitate to get in touch. We are keen to show the kind of problems that go on down at the allotment in the next series of Caught Red Handed.
