I've just chopped down some fenugreek and might try sowing some more although it may be a bit late now. Still have some phacelia, and a lot of self-sown borage and nasturtiums that I'll hoe off and dig in or just leave until the frost gets them.

Hi Jeannine,

This year I just didn't have time and I have probably missed the 'window of opportunity' weather wise.

After growing green manure in my patch for a few years now I hate not growing it.  Makes a tremendous difference.

I'll be doing an early spring sowing of winter rye to be dug in Mid May-June time

Just chopped down the phacelia and covered the beds. Did red mustard last year and that seemed to work. We did winter rye a couple of years ago but that was hard to dig in. Lots of marigolds, nasturtiums and borage just dying down so that's more green manure  :happy7:
