Title: Garlic - is september really too early to plant
Post by: newspud9 on September 05, 2013, 22:52:07
I've jumped the gun and as an impulsive shopper just bought what looks like some healthy looking Autumn planting Marco garlic.  Is it too early to plant; when's the earliest they can go in......is it a case of waiting for the temperature to stay permanently below a certain level?

Thanks for all the responses

We usually wait until late September early October. Your garlic will keep for a few weeks if you keep it cool. garden websites are going to be selling it this month anyway.
