Title: Free Permaculture courses and travel (to Malta!)
Post by: OllieC on September 05, 2013, 19:22:35
Paid for by the EU. And some folk think that Europe just wastes money on expensive vanity projects. I'd apply if I had less keeping me at home then.

thats a brilliant oppertunity Ollie, I hope some of our fitter members can take this once in a lifetime chance. Permaculture is a fantastic way of life, I can only do the no dig bit and water harvesting. But for the whole thing.....people get moving its brilliant.

Great that you posted this Ollie  :toothy10:

looks like you need to be an "adult educator" or plan to become one, but sounds like a great opportunity.

I went to apply in the end, and got stuck with how the hell you go about it. The process and the article don't look quite the same, do they?

Somewhere it said that if you simply "intend" to teach some courses when you get home, that's enough to get approval in some countries. This appeared to be a hint at how to complete the Erasmus form - "oh yes, I'm definitely going to run some courses when I get back". I'm not overly comfy saying that unless it's broadly true though. I still might give it a go as things may be less mad then and it does look like a really interesting set-up - would love to help run some permaculture courses back here although the crazies at Findhorn have most of the market sewn up round here!
