Post by: plotstoeat on September 02, 2013, 12:32:51
It's been a good year for sweetcorn in Durham. Just pulled my first one: good size and nice and milky.

I've had about 10 cobs so far, my best year to date.   :sunny:

I didn't plant any this year, big mistake.  Very envious of all the lovely sweetcorn growing on my allotment site, but still made some raspberry jam and some people actually want my courgettes.   :sunny: :sunny:  Enjoy your sweetcorn, you clever people.

What do you do with all them Gavin? You must have a freezer full

I just went a bit overboard but with 2 sons and partners and a few friends we'll soon guzzle them all.. Yes I do have a few freezers as well - but they are also filling fast with toms and beans after 10 kilos of strawberries this year!!

Just advertised on freecycle for another freezer!!
