 Thank you all so much. Was so lovely to see your greetings. It was a very emotional day as, as you will know my husband Mike died in February, so it was especially painful not to have him with me on my birthday.

I went with my family and some friends to Dilston Physic Garden near Corbridge in Northumberland, and it was so lovely. I was made a very big fuss of, with a cake and lots of cards and presents. We all took food and had a picnic in the gardens. It is a fantastic place, very informal with lots of magical nooks and crannies and the scent of all the herbs and flowers pervades everything and gives it a wonderful ambinence. Well worth a visit. Thanks all of you once again. I really appreciated all the sentiments. busy_lizzie xx
