No photos this time, rather a plea?, question?, suggestion? whatever. There must be other people out there who photograph their garden etc. So how about sharing them? Please! :)
- done my meagre best! - Tim
Well Eric..........I for one feel rather overawed by the previous photos of acres of beautiful gardens and veggie plots !!!! Bit like the away team must feel walking out of the tunnel at St James's Park !!! ;D (oops ...sorry .....but ...it is..... Saturday!! ;) )
But.... as you very kindly borrowed my profile pic :) ...I'll have a go at scanning some pics of my humble postage stamp!!!!
Success not guaranteed!! ::)
Hi, Thought I would post a recipe for my little veggie and lentil pasties which I usually make this time of year. Really good for buffets and parties over the holiday season. Well, my husband took a photo of them with his digital camera, so I could post it on the gallery to show everybody, but still struggling to do it. ??? ??? Sent an e-mail last week to Dan, but no reply yet. Feel so thick ::) ::) and a bit frustrated when I see all of the fabulous photos as dying to post some. Help! busy_lizzie
In what way are you struggling? I am sure Tim or I or D.P could help. If you get really stuck then you could Email your photo to me say and I will post it for you.
MagpieDi, if I had thought that my plot would overawe people I woiuld never have shown it. I am sure your plot is just as interesting as those which have been posted, probably more so.
Tim, it just struck me that this photo lark was becoming a small group thing, that is all.
- could be one for the Recipe board, BL? - Tim

Open country? Can I come and live there please? - Tim
Gotta hand it to this feller. At his age. First he`s lusting after Emma Jane, now he wants to go and live with MagpieDi. What are you on, Tim, and where can I get some?
Hey MagpieDi - that last photo is good enough to be made into a postcard :D
What a wonderful view you have from your garden! Do your neighbours provide you with plenty of manure? ;D
Hugh............ask Ozzy that one!!!! ;) ;D
Tim...........well ....... :-[ .........I do owe you a favour for posting the instructions!! ;) ;)
Eric............still no regrets!! ;D
Thanks BB ......also got one of black- faced sheep on tip- toes peeping over wall!! ( just like Shaun from Wallace and Gromit!!)
Yes...EmmaJane........that's one reason for the ladder!!
She belongs to a herd of 200 Holsteins ( i think ) or maybe Friesians. Got 6 horses in at the mo' , then the sheep will arrive soon !!
And ... Hugh...... re Folklore thread......I'm not a farmer's wife!!! ::) :o ;D.........( Je regret!! ;) )

And I promise that is the lot for now!!!! .........better let someone else have a turn!
Enjoyed wiping the cobwebs off my photo collection!! ;D
Really must learn how to use the digital thing that came with the computer package deal!!..... still using 35mm with zoom.
great photos Magpie Di! My little garden would look very sad!! :'( But I love it anyhow!!! ;D Love the snowman, we build them in our garden too, on the decking, (yes I have decking!!) Had one with a beer in one hand and sunglasses on! Unfortunately before the digital cam days. How lovely to have cows and Hedgehogs visiting, i am green with envy!! :) DP

One for all the hedgie fans!
( Sorry I'm well and truly hooked now!! )
These lovely critters used to call for supper, to fatten up for winter hibernation!!
Doris....these were all taken with normal 35mm camera zoom lens, then scanned into Tim's recommended hpphoto website!! get those old photo albums out and have a go!! ;D
- just my jet training, Hugh?
And lust? No, much more discreet than that! - Tim
Definitely no regrets and I am dead chuffed that others have managed to get their photos up and running.
As for supporting France, we have operated a total embargo on French goods etc since they exploded their disgusting nuclear device in the Southern hemisphere some years back.
Wish we had hedgehogs. Only seen 1 and 2 babies in 8 years and very little evidence of their hidden existence. No cows peeping over the fence either, though on one of my evening walks one leant over the hedge and coughed delicately in my ear. Believe me in the dark on a very lonely and empty lane that is more than a little worrying.
Nice pics though.
Well.... Eric.......it's all down to you and Tim!!
One mild, but still snow covered December day, I had to rescue a very small hedgie wandering around the front garden!! It weighed 350gms, and apparently to hibernate over winter they need to fatten up to at least 600gms, so kept it in a box in garage, supper of chicken and dog food for several weeks ,then released a lovely plump hedgie back into the wild!!
Only drawback to the cows, sheep and horses over garden wall is they munch absolutely anything and everything!!!! Even a very, very prickly Maigold ? rose-vicious thorns!!!
Magpie, unfortunately I do not have a scanner :'( which is a shame, but I wouldn't use it enough, I shall look through my disks and see what I have! DP
aw cute!I have a soft spot for hedgepigs. I rescued several during one bad winter - poor things had been disturbed but one had its head stuck in a jamjar!
Anyhoo, moved them into my cupboard under the stairs to recuperate. Every night, round about bedtime, they would come out looking for tucker. Having fed them, i went to bed leaving them to romp all night. As I had sanded floorboards down, I could hear them tearing about the kitchen in mad races with their corny little feet having hedgepig raves. Terrible, dreadful fleas though.
