Title: Sods law..
Post by: goodlife on July 17, 2013, 10:29:28
I've been sent 'complimentary issue' of Gardeners world magazine.. :icon_cheers:...but I just bought the issue two days ago... :BangHead:
I haven't bought any gardening mags for this year at all. I decided to have a break from them as there seem to be much similar stuff going on from magazine to magazine and very little anything that would get my interest as such. Other day I bought one when I had some spare waiting time in my hands while visiting hospital.
I wonder if any other gardening mags do 'freebie' issues without having to sign on for 'trial period'?

..another one...
This year I planted 3 different varieties of cauli that should yield  in different times...and now they are all cropping in same time  :BangHead:
We are having some cauli feasts in every dinner though  :icon_cheers:

There are so many examples of that! A girl at work told me she had too many strawberry runners and said would I like some? I said sure, you know how to propagate them don't you, and she said yes yes. Then she turned up with all the runners chopped off in a plastic bag for me ... she didn't know about getting them to set root before cutting them off. Well I have put them in wet compost with their little bottoms in the humid soil to see if they will root but for now it looks like a pile of dead leaves, waaaah.
