interesting read but at the moment I am watering every two days. Most of my stuff is quite young so I assumed with there shallow roots they will need help with this weather

I have been watering one area or another, on the allotment, just about every day. I was concerned about newly sown seeds and recently planted out babies. I am tapering off some of these areas as they have grown enough to send roots down. I stopped watering swelling soft fruits, two days ago but I do give plants a good old soak and not just a tickle and the fruits look big enough now. It is very hard going at the moment with just a watering can
