Title: Mange Tout
Post by: daveylamp993 on July 13, 2013, 23:10:08
I planted a row of Mange Tout,That has grown quite quickly, they are about 4 inches high now, look really healthy,i wonder if I was too late to get a crop off of them,if they continue as they are doing I think I should be OK,i give them a good watering early in a morning (before daybreak) and again in the evening as my soil is very dry,any thoughts on this please.

If they are already 4 inches high they will be flying along in no time and being quicker to crop than peas. Unless you have recently transplanted them I think they are not meant to need much watering?
I found this info from the RHS useful http://apps.rhs.org.uk/advicesearch/profile.aspx?PID=706

That is really interesting, JayB. It sounds as if a lot of us are watering more than we need to!
